Fresher’s Week

I did not really know what to expect from fresher’s week. I had heard different things about it, but one of the best things for me was the bag of goodies that I was given by the college. It had all sorts of promotional products in there and I thought they were really great. There were some college promotional gifts as well as various food products in sample size to encourage the new student to be loyal to their brand. I was also surprised at the amount of eco friendly promotional products but I guess that is something which people are very aware of at the moment and it is really nice to see students being targeted by companies wanting to show how they wish to be environmentally friendly. I think that if the younger generation can be forced to care more for the environment then the planet stands a much better chance of being saved as the older generation do not seem to care and they are not going to be effected so much by any changes that are made. I think that it is very important for us to be aware of the planets needs and do our best to help it.

Choosing a Home

Putting my husband in a nursing home Houston was probably the hardest decision that I have ever made. We live in San Antonio and his family live in Houston. I moved him from Houston when I got married to him a few years ago and although we visited his family regularly it was not the same for them and I know that they missed him dearly. Now that he is very ill, I know that they will want to see as much of him as they can. I think that it is only fair to let them have some time with him as I know that it is hard for them to travel. I will miss him, of course and I had considered nursing homes in San Antonio but I decided that this was for the best. I will travel to see him when I can and I know that his family will put me up when I want to stay in the area. I think it is for the best and everyone seems to be happy with the nursing homes Houston plan. It is a fantastic place as well and I know that he will be well looked after which is good.

Share Baptisms and Christenings with Those Nearest and Dearest to You

Bringing a new baby into the world is exciting and an experience to be treasured. Most parents find themselves surrounded by family and friends who want to see the baby and help out a bit, especially during those first few weeks. After this first couple of weeks however, that influx of family and friends into your home will soon fade away, leaving you and your family the much needed time alone to enjoy your baby and plan for the future.

If you are a member of a church and are planning a baptism or a christening for your new family member then you will no doubt want your dearest friends and closest family members to be present at the sacred event. God parents, aunts and uncles as well as the maternal and fraternal grandparents are sure to want to be there with you so. Be sure to mail out the baptism and/or christening invitations in due time to assure that these people can set the time aside to attend.

You can find baptism invitations at shopping centers or online. If you do not wish to send out a traditional invitation then you could opt to hand write them on some pretty stationery instead if you wish. Be sure not to forget to include the time of the event and do not neglect to include directions to the church for those who are not familiar with the area.
