Bringing a new baby into the world is exciting and an experience to be treasured. Most parents find themselves surrounded by family and friends who want to see the baby and help out a bit, especially during those first few weeks. After this first couple of weeks however, that influx of family and friends into your home will soon fade away, leaving you and your family the much needed time alone to enjoy your baby and plan for the future.

If you are a member of a church and are planning a baptism or a christening for your new family member then you will no doubt want your dearest friends and closest family members to be present at the sacred event. God parents, aunts and uncles as well as the maternal and fraternal grandparents are sure to want to be there with you so. Be sure to mail out the baptism and/or christening invitations in due time to assure that these people can set the time aside to attend.

You can find baptism invitations at shopping centers or online. If you do not wish to send out a traditional invitation then you could opt to hand write them on some pretty stationery instead if you wish. Be sure not to forget to include the time of the event and do not neglect to include directions to the church for those who are not familiar with the area.
